Another one of Matt’s excellent guides. As always all Paints are from The Wargames Foundry Paint System unless otherwise stated.

Uniform (Blue)
After a black undercoat apply a basecoat of Deep Blue 20 a on the uniform and on the feather in the hat
 
Uniforn (Blue)
The Main Colour Deep BLue 20 b is painted on leaving the basecoat as the shade

Sword
Basecoat of Tin Bitz (GW)

Shoes
Basecoat of Rawhide 11 a
 
Uniform (Blue)
Highlights of Deep Blue 20 c are applied on the edges of the blue for deffinition. After the highlights stage I always go back and tidy up the figure with black paint.

Sword
Main colour Shining Gold (GW) leaving the original shade

Shoes
Main colour Rawhide 11 b
 
Uniform (Yellow)
Ochre 4 a basecoat.

Sword
highlight with Burnished Gold (GW)

Shoes
Highlight with Rawhide 11 c on the front edge of the shoe and laces

Base
Superglue the edges of the metal bases to produce a flush finish to the plasticard
 
Uniform (Yellow)
The main colour is Ochre 4 b, leaving the base colour as the shade. The Details are painted on the shoulders and shorts at this stage as there is no need to shade

Uniform (White)
Basecoat the feather and the collar in Arctic Grey 33 a

Base
Glue a mixture of Sand and Small Stones around the feet with PVA glue
 
Uniform (Yellow)
Highlight the corners and details with Ochre 4 c to give definition.

Uniform (White)
Main colour of Arctic Grey 33 b

Skin
Basecoat for skin is Dusky Flesh 6 b on all of the hands and faces

Base
Use a thinned down wash of Dark Flesh (GW) (it's a very matt finish)as a basecoat
 
Uniform ( Red)
Sash and Feather basecoat in Deep Maroon 64 a

Uniform ( White)
Highlight with White 33 c on the edges of the collar and the front of the feather

Skin
Main colour for the skin is Flesh 5 a, leaving the fingers and outlining the details on the face

Belt
Basecoat of Buff Leather 7 a

Base
Drybrush with Buff Leather 7 a
 
Uniform (Red)
Sash and Feather are painted in Ruby Red (GW) as the main colour

Hat and Scabbard
Keep the main colour Black highlight only with Storm Blue 39 a

Skin
Highlight the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the nose, the ears and the lower eyelid in Dwarf Flesh (GW)(as it is a very close tone to Flesh 5 a

Belt
Main colour is Buff Leather 7 c

Base
Final drybrush of Base Sand 10 b on the edges of the base
 
Uniform (Red)
Finally Highlight the Sash and Feather with Terracotta 37 b

Hat and Scabbard
Keeping the main colour Black as before highlight only the very edges with Storm Blue 39 b

Skin
The next highlight on the cheek bones, the tip of the nose and the knuckles with Flesh 5 a, then fill in the eye sockets and beard with Black 34 a ready for highlights and eyes

Belt
Highlight with Buff Leather 7 c

Base
Glue static grass or flock with PVA glue to the edges of the base. Paint the edges of the base with Bay Brown 42 a to match with the other units
 
Face Details
Eyes painted into sockets with thin White 33 c line and a Black 34 a dot. Highlight the beard and the hair in Slate Grey 32 b in thin lines

Belt Buckle
Painted with Chainmail (GW) for a chrome finish
